Hello you guys! I'm so excited.

Before I deliver my speech, there is a question: “Do you have the experience that coming back (to) China from other countries after the outbreak (of COVID-19)?"

If you do, please put your hands up to (for) me. Okay, I just got few hands.

So, maybe it means most of you were in quarantine during the outbreak.

Well, my experience is quite different from you guys.

So, today please let me take all of you to review this epidemic with a different perspective.

At the end of last year, Covid-19 outbroke in Wuhan. In this war of epidemic, with the hard work and tremendous sacrifice, we finally made a great achievement in our response to covid-19.

It was my first time to execute this important mission.

When we started to return to work, there were a lot of people who live abroad are still going through a bad time.

Please guess, how many people are stranded overseas recently?

Over two million people!

I work for aviation, so help all of our compatriots return to our motherland is our wish, and also is my duty.

But we are still responsible for preventing the virus invasion from other countries, which is also a formidable task.

In Hohhot airport, where I work, once there were 1314 arrived passengers being isolated with the total number of 1352.

On the (one) hand, helping all of these people return to our country is my wish; on the other hand, preventing the virus invasion (is) also important.

So, it's just like asking an adult male to dance on an egg!

As an aviation's firefighter, I am so honored that I can take part into (in) the “Commando of (fighting) COVID-19”.

It was my first time to execute the mission which is important and directly related to public health.

I witnessed how a responsible country completed this impossible mission and I also experienced so much unforgettable "first time".

And the first one is, the first time wearing personal protective equipment.

Disinfecting passengers' luggage and putting all of these through security was our main duty,

which needed cooperation with lots of custom sections: the Customs, Immigration Inspection and Medical Care, etc.

When a plane has arrived, every passenger must do the epidemic examination.

And only by this way can we understand the specific number of definite cases and suspected cases,

which has a significant meaning for therapy and quarantine later.

So, honestly, the more we finished our work quickly,

the more "Country's Gate" would be stabilized and the more passengers would be safe.

This picture is the Personal Protective Equipment.

After the outbreak, I believe most of you guys are familiar with it.

But do you know, the highest level of Personal Protective Equipment includes nine items, and thirteen standard steps to put in on.

Moreover, it spends at least thirty minutes to put on and off at a time.

This daily work is so complicated and time-consuming.

As we all know, COVID-19 infects people rapidly and radically.

So, how can we save time?

Our magic weapon is dipper!

We diaper (for) over ten hours.

We do not drink, do not eat, do not go to toilet.

In the end, we finally reduced the time from twelve hours to five hours.

It was my first time to wear diaper.

(It was) Interesting, even a little bit comfortable, I have to say.

But I still hope the second time will happen at least when I am over eighty years old.

The next one is the first time being called “hero”.

When we just finished our mission, we were noticed we needed (to) quarantine in (for) two weeks.

And at the first day, when our buses (were) driving to the isolation hotel,

There were lots of residents nearby the hotel took a picture, which included lots of police cars driving in a line and serious hotel staffs' faces.

One of the neighbors uploaded this picture and wrote “Patients who got coronavirus living here” as (the) description.

Well, fortunately, the hotel immediately issued an online statement:

"The guests living here are heroes who fight (against) coronavirus for our lives, so we should guard their honor together."

This statement was read for over six thousand times at that afternoon.

And since that moment, I realize I would like to sacrifice anything for guarding this honor.

The last one is, the first time I felt that "All Chinese are united as one".

Let us go back to the day when we just received our mission.

At that moment, the COVID-19 was at its peak. I mean, the arrived passengers' isolation rate has reached 97 percent.

So, without time to make sure what exactly our mission was, we just entered the field promptly.

On the way to the front line, the heroes who rescue Wuhan popped up in my mind.

They fought against disease; they constructed hospitals in ten days; and they (were) busy delivering the supplies.

They showed same patriotism and the sense of responsibility through different behaviors.

I believe there are lots of people who feel this power and being motivated by this power to fight against coronavirus in their own battlegrounds respectively.

And I was definitely not the only one.

They are deliverymen, taxi drivers, or researchers, and so on.

All of this patriotism, and the sense of responsibility and dedication flow in every Chinese's blood vessel in peacetime, I believe.

Once a challenge appears, all of these powers will rush out of our body and link every Chinese together,

(help us) to conquer any kind of danger.

It's a convincing evidence that COVID-19 has been controlled so fast in China.

Now standing in this huge stage and delivering my speech in the most popular language in the world, it makes me so excited about…

“Can I find some interesting or meaningful sentences as my ending?”

But after lots of time threw up my drafts, I just realized the most words I really want to say to you guys is, “Thank you”.

Because it's you (who) quarantine yourself actively;

it's you (who) fill in the report sheet of the history of going out honestly;

it's you (who) response to the “Return to Work” actively.

And if without all of you guys' sacrifice, I don't believe we can finish our mission such smoothly.

So, when we talk about coronavirus, it's not about “I can”, it's not about “He/ She can”. It's “We can”. We can conquer the coronavirus and we made it.

Thank you!

Thank you to my great country, China!

Thanks!
